Webinar: The Rules of Engagement (and why they matter)
On Tuesday, July 30, 2013, the IIAC and Advisor Impact co-hosted a webinar: The Rules of Engagement (And Why They Matter). Julie Littlechild, CEO and founder of Advisor Impact, and an expert on client engagement among financial advisors led the webinar.
The research suggested that approximately 25% of clients think they have provided a referral and that the typical engaged client, in fact, provided an average of two referrals per year. Advisor Impact estimated that, on average, advisors actually met with 10-15% of the referrals that were made which created a substantial referral gap and, therefore, referral opportunities.
The subject matter built off Advisor Impact’s on-going investor research. In 2013 Advisor Impact, in partnership with the IIAC, released The Rules of Engagement which provided further insights on what works – and what doesn’t – when it comes to referrals.
The session examined the following:
• What causes clients to refer, or not
• The difference between a referral and an introduction
• How client feedback can uncover specific referral opportunities
• Why asking for referrals simply doesn’t work
NOTE: This session was developed as a member benefit for IIAC Member firms. Accordingly, there is no registration fee.
*** The session is eligible for 1.00 CE credits ***
